What a difference a year makes! We had a very wet fall/winter and we're still getting rain. We've got more spring flowers than we can remember and the grasses are coming on to provide some really nice backgrounds. The spring migrants began arriving the first of April. So far we've had three varieties of orioles; Hooded, Bullocks and Baltimore, Scissortails, Red Wing Blackbirds, a couple of tanagers and just this morning we heard a Yellow billed Cuckoo. All the native species are here and have be very active. As the recent rainfall begins to dry up the birds will be looking for water at our sites!
